Inclusivity policy

Below, please find our Inclusivity Policy. We have written into our Constitution that we must provide this on our website, as a statement of our intent that everyone should feel welcome at LegoSoc.

Oxford University Lego Society is committed to being an inclusive group where all are welcome. In order to promote this atmosphere, we do not permit comments or actions from attendees which would lead other attendees at our events to feel intimidated, harassed, bullied, or discriminated against on the basis of any immutable characteristic of an individual or group.* We also do not accept any form of intimidation, harassment or bullying at our events. Anyone who persists in such behaviour having been warned will be asked to leave the event at which they are present, and may be banned from future events, or (where applicable) have their membership revoked, and be barred from becoming a member in the future.

If someone’s behaviour is making you uncomfortable, or you feel that it is otherwise inappropriate, please let a committee member know. If it is deemed necessary to discuss the issue with the Committee or Executive Committee, you will be contacted first, and all reasonable efforts will be made to maintain confidentiality.

*Such as discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, sex, gender (including whether or not an individual is transgender or non-binary), social class, age (except that we may need to restrict individuals under 18 from attending certain events, or restrict their activities at such events, in accordance with the law), religion, or disability.
